We were utterly reliant on Checkatrade to source us a trustworthy tradesperson for our home improvement. We website signed up and advertised our requirements, but unfortunately, we were left abandoned at sea.

  • Adding insult to injury, their support team was abysmal.

We are extremely disappointed with Checkatrade and would urge using their platform. There are more reliable alternatives out there. We feel sorry for having wasted our time on this ineffective service.

We trusted Checkatrade to connect us with qualified tradespeople. Little did we know we were walking into a disaster.

After/Upon/Following hiring a plumber/electrician/carpenter from their platform, we ended up with a shoddy/subpar/messy job that cost us a fortune/ dearly/ an arm and a leg. Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.

It's clear to us that Checkatrade puts the emphasis on their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

Think twice before you trust Checkatrade. Their whole setup is designed to leave you stranded. They promise the world but they deliver nothing. You'll be left screwed and nobody at Checkatrade will bat an eyelid.

It all starts with their sneaky fees, which they hide in the fine print. Then, there's the terrible helpline that's about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to raise an issue, but it's like pulling teeth.

So, avoid them like the plague of Checkatrade if you value your time.

Is Checkatrade a Scam?

We thought we were doing the right move by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so trustworthy with their approved traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

Right away, the response from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and sent us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to discuss the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up having to hire someone else by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling disappointed and warn everyone against using them for your tradesman needs.

They Paid, But Never Saw the Project: Checkatrade Disaster.

My story with Checkatrade was a complete shambles. I hired a trader through their website to carry out some vital home repairs. They appeared trustworthy at first, but it ended up a terrible ordeal.

Although I paid the full amount upfront, the work was never done. Communication became impossible. It's been a truly agonizing period, and I'm still left with unfinished repairs.

The platform itself has been useless throughout this whole process. They laughed at my plight. It feels like I've been scammed.
